Get together

Fringe Program We Do/Are Photography

Thursday 20th October / Friday 21th October / Saturday 22th October
Kunsthafen at Rhenania
Bayenstraße 28, 50678 Köln

In the sense of an open think tank, scientists, curators and artists are invited to reflect on current fields of discourse in photography in joint dialogues. The program is aimed at a general audience interested in photography and art, as well as at professionals and students. Each day will therefore culminate in an open Get-together with drinks, music and projections, for which the Kunsthafen will be transformed into a temporary place of photography.

funk magazine

Funk Magazine presents selected titles from independent publishing with a focus on photography, design and art in its Pop Up Space.

antifoto bar

The ANT!FOTO BAR emerged from an exhibition and magazine series curated by Katja Stuke and Oliver Sieber since 2010. It sees itself as a place for exchange and discourse about photography and photobooks, as well as a meeting point for various photography actors - conceived along the lines of small Japanese themed bars.

As part of a space-specific, temporary intervention, students from the Department of Photography at the Royal Academy of Arts The Hague (KABK) present their latest works at the Kunsthafen. The exhibited works are the products of a one-week residency by the students in Cologne in March 2022. Concept: Yara van der Velden and Donald Weber with students from KABK The Hague. The exhibition is sponsored by the Embassy of the Netherlands.

The 8th issue of the Photoszene magazine L. Fritz deals with the diverse and historical university landscape especially in the field of photography in North Rhine-Westphalia. In several articles, the magazine looks at the founding and focus of the institutions and photography classes and presents the best work of students from NRW in a total of nine photo series.
